And so it begins......

Dreading the long haul flight, it actually turned out OK.  Impressed with BA, comfortablelarge seats with plenty of space between rows.  Slept through the majority of the 14hr long haul between Singapore transit and Heathrow, arriving with little to no jet lag. The only complaint, poor English coffee.

Short transit stop before we fly onto Palma, Mallorca. We fly over the snow covered spine of the Pyrenees and I think 'shit, I didn't bring enough winter gear'. I don't think that much snow will be gone in 5 weeks. An impressive, craggy mountain range.

Some time ago, I invited five of my long time strata/zwift friends to join me in Mallorca, to simply enjoy the riding.  We meet up with Lisa from Kansas, finally meeting after many years and she is just as fun as I thought she would be. We drive to Mancor de la Vall, our base in a tiny village at the base of the mountains

We wake with rooster crowing and church bells on the hour, beautiful simple sounds. Reminds me of Italy.

Our first day riding..................Lisa chooses a route.

Stick to the right.  Stick to the right, my mantra.

Stunning easy ride through country lanes, over to the busy coastal towns and back.  Never have I seen so many bike riders.

We pass through many gorgeous villages,
take it easy and get home as the weather
dials up towards a top of 27 degrees.

We survive Day 1.
